Welcome to Bali, the enchanted island. As soon as we arrive, we are immediately  surrounded by the jungle melodies and embraced by the lush tropical sweetness. The story continues into the dark where the polyrhythmic sounds make us fall into a trance. A dream lingers on.

"Próximo Oriente" is a show broadcasted on Rádio Macau about what "Asia" or "oriental" convey in musical terms. It consists on weekly expeditions in search of representations of the Orient, an image constructed and fantasized through sound. We will be wandering across different soundscapes and exoticisms, under the spell of music from far away places.
