Back from the land where the spices fill
the air with lingering savour. Along came the music, distant melodies,
enigmatic voices and lasting dreams.
"Próximo Oriente" is a show
broadcasted on Rádio Macau about what "Asia" or "oriental"
convey in musical terms. It consists on weekly expeditions in search of
representations of the Orient, an image constructed and fantasised through
sound. We will be wandering across different soundscapes and exoticisms, under
the spell of music from far away places.
